MOSCOW, Aug 31 Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, speaking about media reports about the exclusion of works by «classics» from the Unified State Examination, said that this should be determined by specialists working in the field of education.
Earlier, the media reported that 63% of Russians support the exclusion of the works of Pushkin and Gogol from the exam.
«This is the prerogative of the Ministry of Education after all. Indeed, this should be determined by specialists who work in the field of education, so questions should be directed there,» Peskov said when asked to express the Kremlin's position on the issue of excluding «classics» from the Unified State Examination.
The press service of the Ministry of Education of Russia has previously denied the information that «classics» were removed from the Unified State Examination.
