The Indian military is exploring options for responding to the possible outbreak of a military conflict around Taiwan after receiving requests from the United States. Bloomberg reports this, citing sources in the Indian government.
According to the agency's interlocutors, approximately 1.5 months ago, the head of the Indian defense staff, General Anil Chauhan, instructed his subordinates to evaluate various scenarios of a military conflict on the island of Taiwan, which may affect the US and its allies in the region, and determine what assistance India could provide if the situation escalates.
According to the agency, such an order was issued after the US side repeatedly raised this issue and asked for new -Delhi to propose possible options for action in case of escalation.
