Recall that in early September of this year, Egypt announced a deal with Russia to purchase 480 thousand tons of wheat. However, later he abandoned Russian supplies in favor of imports from France and Bulgaria.
Last season, Egypt increased its purchases of wheat from Russia by 61.1% — up to 8.1 million tons. On August 2, Egypt purchased 300 thousand tons of Russian wheat at $250 per ton.
