KALUGA, October 16 The government of the Kaluga region has approved the draft budget of the region for a three-year period, the press service of the regional government reported.
It is reported that on Monday the regional governor Vladislav Shapsha held a regular meeting of the regional government via video conference.
“The government approved the draft regional budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026,” the statement says.
As noted by the head of the relevant ministry, Valentina Avdeeva, taking into account all sources, regional treasury revenues in 2024, according to the plan, will amount to almost 78 billion rubles, the total expenditure is projected to be almost 78.8 billion rubles. The budget deficit will amount to 776 million rubles.
During the discussion, Shapsha emphasized that the forecast for the socio-economic development of the region, taken as the basis for developing the budget, provides for economic growth in the medium term. In the Kaluga region, according to him, there are all the prerequisites for this.
“Based on the results of eight months, the volume of shipped industrial products exceeded 566 billion rubles. An increase in output volumes is observed in many industries. 800 thousand square meters of housing were put into operation. Investments in fixed capital for six months exceeded 44 billion rubles. The recovery in business activity is also indicated by the growth in income regional budget. At the end of the year, we expect it to be at the level of 10%,» the governor explained.
He focused on balancing the budget, which, according to him, on the one hand, retained a social orientation, and on the other, allows solving problems of modernizing the economy, developing agriculture, updating infrastructure, and strengthening the social sphere.
“As in previous years, more than 60% of expenses will be allocated to social support, healthcare, education, culture, sports and other areas. The draft budget ensures the fulfillment of all existing social obligations,” the statement says.
It is noted that funds are provided in full for the remuneration of public sector employees, existing benefits, compensation and payments. Participants of the special military operation and members of their families will receive comprehensive targeted support.
Having generally approved the region’s draft budget for a three-year period, the governor noted that work on it would continue in committees of the legislative assembly.
“I expect that the result of our interaction will be a financial document that will ensure economic growth and improve the well-being of the residents of the Kaluga region,” Shapsha concluded.
