ST. PETERSBURG, October 27 “Wonder of the World” festival in St. Petersburg will coincide with the opening of the exhibition and forum «Russia» in Moscow, reports the press service of the administration of the governor of the Northern capital.
The international exhibition and forum «Russia» opens on November 4, 2023 at VDNKh in Moscow. Visitors will be able to see exhibitions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations. St. Petersburg will present its most significant projects there.

«»On the Day of National Unity and the first day of the Moscow exhibition, the Wonder of the World festival starts in St. Petersburg. It will become a logical continuation of the exhibition exposition Petersburg and will transform the Peter and Paul Fortress into a modern open-air multimedia space,” the statement says.
For the first time, there will be an exhibition of works by artists who create their creations using neural networks, and a popular science lecture hall will be opened in the Naryshkin Bastion.
“Our task is to present at the Russia exhibition the most important projects of St. Petersburg in recent years. These include the Fort Island cluster, the transformation of the Gazprom Arena and SKA Arena stadiums, and the Western High-Speed ​​Diameter. We also plan to show our achievements in industry, healthcare, science and other sectors through the prism of the implementation of national projects. Opening simultaneously with the Moscow exhibition, the St. Petersburg Light Festival will allow visitors to feel involved in the history, culture and future of Russia,» said St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, whose words are quoted in the message.
The “Wonder of the World” festival will take place over three days from 19.00 to 22.00.

The festival has been held in St. Petersburg annually since 2016. Digital artists, using light and laser technologies, create paintings on the facades of buildings in the historical center of the city. In 2021, the Russian Book of Records at the festival recorded the largest total length of light projection on the wall of the fortress — 1244 meters. In 2022, the light program was observed by more than 900 thousand people.
