The head of Tuva banned officials from holding New Year's corporate parties «against the backdrop of an ongoing special operation»

The head of Tuva, Vladislav Khovalyg, prohibited officials and employees of government agencies from holding New Year's corporate parties «against the backdrop of an ongoing special operation.» This was reported by the press service of the government of the republic.

Tuva authorities believe that during the war, “large-scale New Year celebrations with corporate parties and fireworks are unethical and incorrect.” The government of the republic proposes to use the saved money “to help military personnel.”

In early December, the mayor of Sochi canceled the New Year and Christmas fireworks displays in order to send the saved money to the war in Ukraine. Similar measures were announced by the authorities of Arkhangelsk, as well as the Rostov, Oryol, Kursk, and Belgorod regions.
