The village of Krasnoye in the Shebekinsky district of the Belgorod region came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.
According to the head of the region, an elderly man died: “At the time of the shelling, he was in a grocery store, his injuries were sustained they were incompatible with life from shell fragments.”
A store saleswoman was also injured; she was taken to the Shebekinsky central regional hospital with a shrapnel wound to the head.
In the morning, the governor reported that the village of Krasnoye had been hit under mortar fire, one of the shells fell on the territory of a non-working agricultural enterprise.
The day before, December 30, Ukraine fired missiles at the center of Belgorod. According to the latest data, 24 people died, including four children. The Ministry of Health reported 131 casualties.
