The country's Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin named the scale of the riots in France on New Year's Eve. So. the number of detainees increased to 380, almost 750 cars were burned.
Despite the impressive numbers, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted with satisfaction that compared to last year, 10% fewer cars were burned — 745 cars. The number of arrests across the country — 380 — is also 10% less than last year.
It was previously reported that more than 90 thousand police and gendarmes will be deployed across France on New Year's Eve. They ensured security and law and order against the background of the maximum level of terrorist threat.
