The authorities of Podolsk introduced a local emergency regime after a heating main broke through in the city, and an accident occurred at the boiler house of the Klimovsky Cartridge Plant, which provided heat to the Klimovsk microdistrict. The Investigative Committee reported on the arrest of the deputy head of the administration of Podolsk in the case of abuse of power due to an accident at the plant (part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code ). The head of the boiler house and the general director of the cartridge plant were also detained — they are suspected of providing services that do not meet safety requirements (Article 238 of the Criminal Code).
Today Putin ordered the nationalization of the plant in Podolsk. “By decision of the president, the mechanism for nationalizing this plant has been launched today. Two owners are located abroad. We received the right to take control of this boiler house as part of an emergency situation,” said the head of the Moscow region, Andrey Vorobyov.
