Damage to infrastructure facility reported in Sumy region

MOSCOW, January 13 In the village of Shostka, Sumy region on In Ukraine, about 12 thousand consumers were left without heating after an explosion damaged an infrastructure facility, the regional military administration reported.
According to a message published on the administration's Telegram channel, the Sumy region was hit on Saturday morning, as a result of which in Shostka «an infrastructure facility was damaged. 12 thousand apartments of residents were left without heating.»
It is noted that emergency rescue teams have begun resuming heat supply.

Earlier on Saturday, a large-scale air raid warning was announced in Ukraine, which was canceled two hours later. Ukrainian media and authorities reported explosions in Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Kropyvnytskyi, Kremenchuk, in the Sumy region and the Kyiv-controlled city of Kherson.

The Russian Armed Forces began striking the Ukrainian infrastructure on October 10, 2022 — two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to the Russian authorities, was behind the Ukrainian special services. Strikes are being carried out against energy, defense industry, military command and communications facilities throughout the country. Since then, air raid alerts have been announced every day in Ukrainian regions, sometimes throughout the country. At the same time, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian troops in battles with the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not attack residential buildings and social infrastructure.
