ISTANBUL, January 13 Antalya police have launched an investigation into the death of a tourist from Russia of Nadezhda Yarygina, the department said in a statement received.
““An investigation has been launched into Nadezhda Yarygina, who went missing in Kemer,” the police indicated.
This is how the department responded to reports in some media that the tourist was allegedly killed.
It is noted that on January 4, the Russian woman went alone for a walk to Mount Chalysh, and on January 12, her body was discovered by rescuers.
«The body was found lying on its back along with money, glasses, cigarettes and other personal belongings. Next to the body were empty packs of sleeping pills and plastic bottles, which, judging by the smell, presumably contained alcohol,” the police statement said.
Empty packs of sleeping pills were also found in the hotel room where Yarygina lived.
““The body was found intact, the woman’s underwear was in place, no suspicious circumstances were found,” the police emphasized.
The day before, in the administration of Akka Alinda, where lived a woman, indicated that no visible signs of violence were found on the body of the deceased. The Russian Consulate General in Antalya confirmed the death of a tourist who disappeared near the Turkish resort of Kemer, noting that the circumstances are being clarified.

Forty-year-old Yarygina arrived in Turkey on December 30, but on January 8 she did not appeared on the return flight to Moscow after the end of the tourist trip. According to the Russian Consulate General, on January 4 she went for a walk and did not return to the hotel. Since that time, she has not been in contact with her relatives, her phone was unavailable.
On Thursday, Turkish rescuers found her mobile phone on Mount Calis.
About 40 rescuers were looking for the woman, including at sea. In addition to employees of the Turkish Disaster Management Authority (AFAD) and other authorities, Russian-speaking volunteers were also looking for Yarygina.
Police in Kemer are investigating the incident, Russian diplomats are monitoring the situation.
The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirov Region is also involved in the case of Yarygina, her the mother filed an application with the authorities.
