
MOSCOW, January 30 At the electoral system of the Russian Federation a high margin of safety, but the CEC expects a strong attack on the presidential elections before March 17, said CEC member Igor Borisov.
“The sustainable margin of safety of the electoral system is at a high level, but, nevertheless, today we… expect a new surge — the last attack — before March 17,” Borisov said at a round table in Moscow.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Currently, 11 people are vying for the post of head of state. The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation has registered four presidential candidates — Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
The Central Election Commission must make a decision on registration or refusal of registration in relation to all candidates no later than February 10.
