The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined 28-year-old employee of the library at the Russian Academy of Arts Anna Zeladina 50 thousand rubles due to the fact that she did not report her friend’s plans to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office. This was reported by the press service of the court.
This is the second acquaintance of St. Petersburg nurse Maxim Asriyan, who was found guilty of failure to report a crime (Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code). Previously, Tatyana Limenya-Osipova was fined 40 thousand rubles in a similar criminal case. During the investigation, both girls were under recognizance not to leave.
On September 30, 2022, Zeladina, like Limenya-Osipova, was visiting Asriyan. Before this, the nurse, the security forces believe, asked both girls to buy lighter fluid. Zeladina agreed and gave her friend the fuel. According to investigators, she did this without knowing about Asriyan’s intentions to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office — the nurse announced his anti-war position and plans to the guests only at the meeting.
As a result, the young man came to the Frunze military registration and enlistment office in October 2022, but changed his mind set it on fire and left, according to the Investigative Committee. Asriyan was detained a few days later at Pulkovo airport when he was about to fly from St. Petersburg to Sochi.
Two weeks ago, a St. Petersburg resident was sentenced to eight years in a maximum security colony in the case of attempted terrorist attack (Part 3 of Article 30; Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code).
