BELGOROD, February 2 Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military fired 77 shells at five border districts of the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on the Telegram channel.
There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.

In the Borisov region, the outskirts of the village of Bogun-Gorodok were fired at 18 times from a grenade launcher. In the Valuysky urban district in the village of Timonovo, an engineering group of Russian troops discovered and eliminated an explosive object.

Gladkov clarified that in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district the village of Terebreno was shelled three times with a mortar. As a result of the shelling, a fence on the school grounds was damaged. Two UAVs were shot down over the village of Zadorozhny.
“In the Shebekinsky urban district, five shells from the Grad MLRS were fired at the village of Ternovoe, three mortar shells were fired at the village of Leninsky, the villages of Pankov and Maryino, three mortar shells were fired at the village of Krasnoye, and two mortar shells were fired at the village of Belyanka. “In the villages of Novaya Tavolzhanka and Sereda, the enemy attacked with the help of kamikaze drones,” the governor said.
According to reports, in January the total number of shellings decreased by about three percent compared to December. However, the number of drone attacks over the month increased from 8% to 18% of the total number of attacks. The most attacks in January were recorded in the village of Shchetinovka, Belgorod district — 172 attacks, which is approximately one and a half times more than in the village of Ustinka, Belgorod district (110 attacks) and the village of Stary, Volokonovsky district (102 attacks).
Since April 11, 2022, a high level of terrorist danger has been established throughout the entire territory of the Belgorod region. The length of the Ukrainian border with the region is 350 kilometers.
