Employees of the Federal Security Service today reported on the appearance of two new people accused of high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). Their cases are not related.
The Kamchatka Special Service Directorate informed TASS about the detention of a Russian citizen who had lived in Ukraine for a long time and had a Ukrainian residence permit. According to the FSB, the man provided the SBU with information about Russian border guards from acquaintances and relatives in exchange for being released into Russia to collect his pension and rent for his apartment.
55-year-old Grigory Bilenko fits this description from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, who worked in the Kamchatka Okeanrybflot. Astra, Baza and 112 wrote about the man’s arrest on January 2 without citing sources. According to the publications, Bilenko, who was born in Ukraine, returned to the Zhytomyr region after retiring in 2019, and after the war he traveled to Russia several times due to his expiring passport.
A second criminal case of treason was opened in Chuvashia against a 20-year-old man. He is also accused of committing a terrorist attack (205 of the Criminal Code). The intelligence service distributed a video in which the detainee says that according to an advertisement in a telegram from “Arthur from some "Free Russia"» was going to set fire to «a locomotive in Saransk, Kazan or Alatyr.» His face is blurred.
