Motorinvest is the official distributor of the Dongfeng line of passenger cars in the Russian Federation. Today the company officially confirmed that the local line of the DFSK family of cars will be expanded with the ix7 crossover. Note that DFSK stands for Dongfeng Sokon and is a joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Corporation and the Seres group, which produces cars, motorcycles, auto components and household appliances (this joint venture also owns the Fengon brand, under which the model is also presented).

Currently on the Russian market there is a seven-seat crossover DFSK 580, but in the future the line will be supplemented by a large SUV, which is given the name DFSK ix7. As Kolesa.ru reported last week, this model will have a local registration: production of the ix7 will be established at the facilities of the Kaliningrad Avtotor plant. So far, the parties have entered into an agreement “on the production of the first batch of cars.”
The DFSK ix7 is a seven-seat all-wheel drive crossover that is comparable in size to the Nissan Pathfinder or Hyundai Palisade. Its length is 4930 mm, width is 1935 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2810 mm. The luggage compartment volume is 375 liters, and with the seats of the second and third rows folded, the cargo space increases to 2215 liters.
The ix7 crossover in the Russian Federation will be offered with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, its power is 231 hp and maximum torque is 355 Nm. This engine is paired with a classic six-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission. The model received an all-wheel drive system with simulated differential locking.

The list of equipment of the DFSK ix7 includes adaptive LED headlights, an automatic switching function between low and high beams, and a sliding panoramic roof.
