MOSCOW, March 17 UAV strike on the airfield in Tiraspol — an attempt to undermine the situation in Transnistria and sow panic among voters in the Russian presidential elections, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of State Security of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic reported that an explosion occurred on the territory of a military unit in Transnistria as a result of a kamikaze drone attack. The Moldovan authorities deny Ukraine's involvement in the explosion in the PMR.
“Obviously, an attempt to shake the situation also in Transnistria and sow panic among voters in the Russian presidential elections in this region was a UAV strike on the airfield in Tiraspol, as a result of which a Pridnestrovian transport helicopter was destroyed,” Zakharova’s commentary on the Foreign Ministry website reads. Russia.
“The statements of the Moldovan authorities about the supposed non-involvement of the Kyiv regime in this blow look ridiculous,” she noted.
