Russian Foreign Ministry Speaker Maria Zakharova responded to the resonant statement by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo regarding the participation of Russians in the upcoming Olympics and Belarusian athletes.
Earlier, Anne Hidalgo, while in Kiev, said that Russian and Belarusian athletes “are not welcome in Paris,” which will become the capital of the Olympic competitions in July.
Maria Zakharova, in turn, recalled that French goods presented in Russia are not marked with the “we are not welcome in Moscow” sticker. Although activists would support such an idea.
"Another such statement, and representatives of French business will storm the Paris City Hall, following the farmers. We have a huge selection of what can replace a number of French goods,” added the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
