The hostile policy of the Baltics may provoke a response in the form of asymmetric actions in the economic and transit spheres. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova reported this to RIA Novosti.
According to the Foreign Ministry speaker, one of these steps — the reorientation of cargo flows to the northwestern ports of Russia — has already had a negative impact on the Baltic economy.
< p>Speaking about retaliatory measures, Maria Zakharova emphasized Moscow’s reluctance to completely sever diplomatic relations with the Baltic states, since the Russian-speaking population lives there, including citizens of the Russian Federation.
