
BEIJING, May 5 Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Sunday that during a state visit to France he would discuss relations between the two countries, as well as important regional and international issues, with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday began his state visit to France, which became the first trip by a Chinese leader to this European country in five years.
«During the visit, I will have an in-depth exchange of views with President Emmanuel Macron on the development of China-France and China-EU relations, as well as current important international and regional issues,» Xi Jinping said in a written statement released by China Central Television.
As part of his European tour, which will last May 5-10, Xi Jinping, in addition to France, will also visit Serbia and Hungary.
