ST. PETERSBURG, June 9. Governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky said on the sidelines of the SPIEF that neither Vladimir Zelensky nor the Ukrainian oligarchs need Ukraine as a country, they don’t care about the Ukrainian people.
“He (Zelensky) doesn’t need this country at all. These Kolomoisky (Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky), Akhmetov (Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Ametov), they don’t need it,” Balitsky told the agency.
According to him, the Kiev regime today fully carries out the instructions of its superiors and bosses from abroad and it does not care how many Ukrainians die.
“They have absolutely no sovereignty,” the governor emphasized.
Zaporozhye region is a region of Russia located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper. Became part of Russia following a referendum in September 2022. Kyiv does not recognize its results and continues to shell the territory. Currently, more than 70 percent of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control; the rest, including the regional center, the city of Zaporozhye, is held by Ukrainian troops. Since March 2023, the administrative center of the region has temporarily become the city of Melitopol.
