GORNO-ALTAYSK, June 10 Plenipotentiary representative President of the Russian Federation in the Siberian Federal District Anatoly Seryshev introduced Andrei Turchak as the acting head of the Altai Republic, noting that he has strong leadership qualities, a correspondent reports from the scene.
«Andrei Anatolyevich has strong leadership and human qualities, fundamental knowledge and competencies necessary for a modern effective leader. I am confident that high professionalism, the ability to immerse deeply in regional problems, energy and a sense of responsibility, courage in decision-making and human responsiveness will allow Andrei Anatolyevich to justify the trust and fulfill the tasks set by the head of state to improve the quality and standard of living of the residents of the republic,” Seryshev noted during the presentation ceremony.
During the presentation, Turchak noted that he would use all his experience and knowledge to improve life in the region.
«I will do everything to ensure that the achievements (of the republic — ed.) are multiplied. Our republic has great potential in developing the economy, the social sphere, attracting investments, establishing the republic as an eco-tourism center. You and I have the support of people, we have You have the support of our president, the government, the Federation Council, the personal support of the heads of many ministries, departments, state corporations. Believe me, this is the rich experience that I acquired while serving in the executive authorities, in the Pskov region and while at the federal level, that’s all. I will use my contacts, all my connections to truly, as I reported to the president, unlock the rich potential of the republic,” the acting governor emphasized.
Turchak noted that he has already visited the region six times and will soon go on a trip to its districts.
The ceremony was attended by heads of government bodies, the speaker of the state assembly of the region, deputies, representatives of the media and the public, as well as the former head of the region Oleg Khorokhordin.
