German Chancellor Olaf Scholz named his condition for resuming contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, a «concrete topic for discussion» is needed, ARD reports.
Scholz recalled that he had communicated with Putin both before and after the start of the Ukrainian conflict.
«I have always said that I would do it again, but for this, the right moment must be there — there must be a subject for discussion, so that it makes sense,» Scholz said.
According to him, the negotiations will only make sense if there is a concrete topic for discussion. There are no such topics now, so he and Putin are not in contact. However, negotiations are not ruled out in the future.
