MOSCOW, June 27 The prosecutor's office asks to send for compulsory treatment a woman who strangled her 10-month-old child in Moscow in September 2023, according to the Telegram channel of the capital's prosecutor's office.
The body of a strangled baby was discovered on September 19, 2023 in an apartment on Taganrog Street. A criminal case has been opened under the article of murder of a minor. Soon the child’s mother was detained, examinations were ordered, including medical examinations, and documents were being drawn up to order an outpatient psychological and psychiatric examination. The mother of the 10-month-old child was subsequently arrested.
«The Moscow prosecutor's office sent a criminal case against a woman who strangled her son to court to apply a compulsory measure of a medical nature,» the report says.
According to the investigation, on September 19, 2023, a woman was in an apartment on Taganrogskaya Street with her son, born in 2022, at some point she grabbed the boy by the neck and strangled him.
According to the conclusion of a commission of experts, the woman suffers from a mental disorder; at the time of the crime she was not aware of the nature of her actions.
