MOSCOW, July 7 Unknown people on Sunday night in Odessa burned the car of a Ukrainian serviceman, a criminal case was opened, writes the Strana publication, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
Earlier on Sunday, Strana reported that unknown persons burned the car of a Ukrainian military man in Kyiv.
«»A military car was burned in Odessa tonight. It happened in the courtyard of an apartment building. At about 1.00 (coinciding with Moscow time — ed.) an unknown arson of a Volkswagen car was set on fire. The fire was extinguished after 10 minutes, the car was damaged “A criminal case has been opened regarding this fact,” says a message published on the publication’s Telegram channel.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that military vehicles in the country began to be set on fire, mistaking them for the transport of military registration and enlistment office employees.
Videos of forceful mobilization are widely distributed on the Internet, in which representatives of Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices take men away in minibuses in an unknown direction, often beating them and using force against them.
The law on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine came into force on May 18. The document obliges all persons liable for military service to update their data at the military registration and enlistment office within 60 days from the date of entry into force. To do this, you need to come to the military registration and enlistment office in person or register in the “conscript’s electronic account.” The summons will be considered served even if the conscript has not seen it in person: the date of “delivery” of the summons will be considered the date when the document was stamped with the impossibility of personal delivery. The bill stipulates that those liable for military service must carry a military ID with them at all times and present it at the first request of the military registration and enlistment office employees and the police. Dodgers may be deprived of the right to drive a car. The terms of demobilization are not specified in the document. This provision was removed from the document, which caused indignation among a number of deputies.
