Iranian President Pezeshkian has promised retribution for the murder of a Hamas political leader
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has commented on the information about the assassination of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. According to the politician, those responsible will regret their actions.
Pezeshkian assured that the «bond between the two proud nations — Iran and Palestine» — will become stronger «than ever», as will the «path of resistance».
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that they had begun an investigation into the attack.
Hamas previously noted that Haniyeh was killed during an Israeli raid on his residence. Local media reported that he was killed as a result of a direct rocket hit.
