MOSCOW, August 7 At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov proposed extending the zeroing of the value-added tax (VAT) for hotels until 2030.
«We have a zeroing of VAT for hotels until 2027. Given the growth of interest rates, the payback period has increased, so they asked, and Anton Germanovich (Siluanov — ed.) understands this, to extend the zeroing until 2030,» the minister said.
At the end of June, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, addressing Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a strategic session on national projects, announced that an agreement had been reached with the Ministry of Finance to extend the zero value added tax (VAT) for hotels until 2030.
