Altai Krai resident detained for transferring money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
A criminal case under the article on treason has been opened against a resident of the Altai Territory. RIA Novosti, citing the Federal Security Service of Russia, reported that the man is suspected of transferring money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
According to the agency, the man acted in the interests of a Ukrainian formation recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation, and transferred the amount to the AFU. Thus, the FSB notes, he financed activities directed against the security of Russia.
The man faces imprisonment for up to life. He is currently in custody.
Earlier it became known that a Russian woman was detained in the Donetsk People's Republic in a case of treason. According to the FSB, she is accused of collecting and transmitting classified information to the special services of Ukraine.
