Over the past 24 hours, units of the 150th motorized rifle division of the combined arms formation of the Southern Military District (SMD) in the Rostov Region and engineering and sapper units of the 49th combined arms army in the Krasnodar Territory have been alerted. This was reported by the press service of the headquarters of the Southern Military District.
According to the press service, motorized rifles in the Rostov region make combined marches, heading for training grounds «located at different distances from their permanent deployment points.»

Today, the engineering and sapper units of the 49th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District in the Krasnodar Territory were raised on a training alert and advanced to the training ground. The headquarters clarifies that on the march the unit from the air «will be supported by the crews of army aviation of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Southern Military District on Mi-35M attack helicopters.» The unit is based in the suburbs of Krasnodar (settlement Afipsky). The location of the exercises is not specified.
“Control at the stages of advancement along routes from the air will also be provided by unmanned aircraft,” the headquarters said in a release about the exercises. — Having made a march to the designated area, military engineers will fulfill the standards for various tasks of engineering support for motorized rifle, tank and artillery units. The skills of the servicemen of the formation in the engineering equipment of the districts, the installation of mine-explosive obstacles, and the clearance of areas of the terrain in various conditions will be tested.
In addition, a three-day gathering of reservists of the country's combat army reserve (BARS) has started at the training grounds between Rostov and Taganrog .
The district headquarters explains that the reservists take a general military training course, perform firing from standard small arms, study the design and combat capabilities of artillery weapons and military equipment, and also acquire the basic skills necessary to ensure and organize the protection and defense of military and state facilities.

“Autonomous tent camps APL-500 with leisure rooms, showers, canteens and bath and laundry services have been deployed for reservists to live in the field. Places for living are equipped with TVs, heaters and equipped with the necessary equipment,” the press service clarifies.
According to the Ministry of Defense, more than 9,000 contracts have already been concluded with citizens in the south of Russia to serve in BARS. The state guarantees appropriate payments to the reservists. So, for three days in the classroom, an officer will receive up to 10 thousand rubles, a sergeant/soldier — up to 5 thousand rubles. For 30 days at a military training camp, an officer will receive from 30 to 75 thousand rubles, a soldier — up to 25 thousand rubles.
