MOSCOW, Jan 30 The Russian biathlon team took fifth place in the mixed relay at the European Championships in Arber, Germany. The victory in the race was won by the Norwegians Erlenn Bjöntegaard, Johannes Dale, Jenny Enodd and Ragnhild Femsteinevik (11 extra rounds, 2 penalties), showing the result of 1 hour 17 minutes 44.9 seconds. The second was the Germans Lukas Fratzscher, Philipp Horn, Janina Hettich and Sofia Schneider (13 extra rounds, 2 penalties, +18.6 seconds). Rounding out the top three were Swiss Serafin Wistner, Martin Jaeger, Eliza Gasparin and Aita Gasparin (18 extra rounds, 5 penalties, +4.53.7). Russians Vasily Tomshin, Petr Pashchenko, Larisa Kuklina and Anastasia Shevchenko (21 extra rounds, 5 penalty loops) , +5.06.4) finished fifth.
