MOSCOW, Jan 30 Zenit and Bayer have reached an agreement on Iranian national football team striker Serdar Azmoun's move to the Leverkusen club during the winter transfer window, according to the website of the St. Petersburg team. Previously, the striker signed a contract with Bayer. The football player was supposed to move to the German club in the summer, at the end of the agreement with Zenit. Later, information appeared in the media that the St. Petersburg club could fine or send the striker to the second team for violating medical regulations. On Friday, Azmoun announced his readiness to “die” for the club before the end of the season, even if he was transferred to the second team. Azmoun joined Zenit in February 2019. The striker has 62 goals and 17 assists in 104 matches for the Blue-White-Blues. As part of Zenit, Azmun won three national championship titles, a Cup and two Russian Super Cups. The striker became the top scorer of the 2019/20 season and the best player of the 2020/21 season according to the RFU.
