The Federal Penitentiary Service decided to purchase hardware systems that will identify users by a personal identifier and differentiate rights to access information. The application is published on the public procurement website; the telegram channel ChTD drew attention to it.
The tender is held by the Main Engineering and Technical Support Center of the Federal Penitentiary Service. According to the document describing the object of the purchase, the entire department plans to buy 10,770 hardware complexes for at least 252,007,000 rubles.
Among the required technical characteristics of devices are the ability to keep an event log, control the integrity of files, destroy the contents of files when they are deleted, control user actions, their identification, covert copying and marking of files printed, as well as the differentiation of rights to access to the information.
Alexander Khonin, head of the Angara Security consulting and audit department, in a conversation with RBC noted that such devices “provide confidence that a legitimate operating system is loaded and only a legitimate user has access to it. Due to this tool, additional identification and authentication of the user takes place.
