The International Ski Federation (FIS) will not use the flag and anthem of the Russian Federation at official ceremonies, including award ceremonies following the results of the competition, according to the official website of the organization. The Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Friday called on all international federations to reschedule or cancel sporting events planned in Russia and Belarus, as well as not to use the national flags and anthems of these countries in any competition.» The FIS Council, in accordance with the recommendations of the IOC, unanimously decided that all Russian athletes will be able to continue to participate in competitions in the status of athletes RF, although the FIS flag and anthem will be used at all official events, including ceremonies,» the statement said. FIS said earlier on Friday that all competitions that were to be held in Russia under the auspices of the organization, including ski races in Tyumen will be rescheduled in the interests of safety participants.
