MOSCOW, March 1 Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov and winner of the gold medal of the Games -2022 Natalya Nepryaeva will take part in the Demino ski marathon in Rybinsk, according to the website of the city district administration. Skiers Alexei Chervotkin, Veronika Stepanova and Tatyana Sorina will also participate in the competition. The 50 km race will take place on March 6, and the 25 km race on March 7. «This marathon will really be memorable, because usually Olympic champions come to the marathon after the end of their competitive career. And now — almost from the Olympics. Just a week ago they stood on the steps of the Olympic podium, and in the first days of March they will go on the same track with skiing enthusiasts,» said Alexei Ryabchenkov, acting head of the administration of Rybinsk. Earlier, the president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation, Elena Vyalbe, said that Russian skiers had completed the international season. The International Ski Federation (FIS) announced that it would not allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in competitions in all types under the auspices of the organization against the background of the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine.
