Jean-Luc Mélenchon, head of the left-wing France Insubordinate party, is in third place with 20.96 percent, while the far-right candidate and founder of the Reconquest party, Eric Zemmour, is in fourth place (6.94 percent). The fifth result was shown by the candidate from the center-right Republican Party, Valerie Pekress (4.76 percent). At the same time, after processing 45 percent of the protocols in the capital region of the country, Macron leads with 30.41 percent of the vote, followed by Mélenchon (25.24 percent), the third — Le Pen (16.76 percent). After counting 42 percent of the ballots in Paris, the incumbent head of state is in the lead with 38.99 percent of the vote. Le Pen is only sixth with 5.39 percent of the vote. The leaders are also: Mélenchon (24.52 percent), Zemmour (9.71 percent), Pecresse (7.98 percent) and the Green candidate Yannick Jadot (7.18 percent). The second round of the presidential elections in France will be held on 24 April.
