French President Emmanuel Macron leaves the voting booth during the first round of the presidential electionPARIS, Apr 11 > Incumbent French President Emmanuel Macron leads with 38.99% in Paris after processing 42% of ballots, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, head of the left-wing France Defiant Party, is second with 24.52%, according to Interior Ministry data. The far-right candidate is in third place , the founder of the Reconquest party, Eric Zemmour (9.71%), the fourth position is occupied by the candidate from the center-right Republican party, Valerie Pekress, with 7.97%, in fifth place is the candidate from the Greens, Yannick Jadot, with 7.18%. Marine Le Pen, head of the right-wing Rally National party, got her sixth result with 5.39%. The second round of the presidential elections in France will be held on April 24.
