MOSCOW, April 27, Sergey Fuks. Russian Artistic Gymnastics Federation (FSGR) is waiting for an honest and fair decision in the case of Ivan Kulyak, said the head of the FSGR Vasily Titov. In early March, Kulyak took third place in exercises on parallel bars at the World Cup in Doha. The Russian came to the award ceremony with the letter Z applied to the uniform, which has become an unofficial symbol of support for the special operation in Ukraine. The athlete himself later explained that this was a response to provocations by Ukrainian gymnasts. After that, the Independent Gymnastic Ethics Foundation (GEF) opened a disciplinary case against Kulyak. Earlier, Titov said that the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) is asking the GEF disciplinary commission to suspend Kulyak for at least one year. «There is no decision on this case yet. They sent us additional questions, we answered them, commented, and now they are considering all this. I think that most likely they will issue a verdict without collecting the panel again, they will simply read our answers and issue a verdict. I will not talk about expectations now, what will be, will be. and an honest decision is almost impossible, but we count. We have stated our position quite clearly, we'll see what the decision will be,» Titov said.
