An employee of a mining company at the Sot gold deposit in Armenia was wounded as a result of shelling from Azerbaijan, Ruzanna Grigoryan, a representative of GeoProMining Gold, told RIA Novosti. The Sot deposit is located on the border of the Vardenis region of Armenia and Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan. «As a result of the shelling, our employee, who works on a drilling machine, was injured. He was injured in his hand and taken to the hospital. Doctors assess his condition as stable,» Grigoryan said. According to her, the company decided to evacuate employees, work at the field temporarily suspended.
