The head of Chechnya added that «the most combat-ready units» were sent to the LPR, and their success is «a matter of time.» Russia has been conducting a special operation since February 24 for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine. Vladimir Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to bullying and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.» According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian army strikes only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops, nothing threatens the civilian population.
