MOSCOW, June 8 Football players of the Ukrainian national team defeated the team of Ireland in the group stage match League of Nations, which became the first for the Ukrainian team after losing the playoff final for the right to play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The group 1 division B meeting, held on Wednesday in Dublin, ended with a score of 1:0 in favor of the guests. Viktor Tsygankov scored the only goal in the 48th minute. In the other group match, Scotland defeated Armenia 2-0 at home in Glasgow thanks to goals from Anthony Ralston (28) and Scott McKenna (40). The Ireland team suffered a second defeat in two matches tournament, earlier the Irish lost on the road to the Armenians (0:1). Teams of Ukraine and Scotland played the first matches of the League of Nations in the new season.
