MOSCOW, June 8 Norwegian skier, five-time Olympic champion Johannes Klebo competed again for the continued suspension of Russian athletes from international competitions. At the end of February, the International Ski Federation (FIS) suspended Russian athletes from international competitions under its auspices due to events in Ukraine. This decision was indefinite until further notice while it remains in effect. «The return of athletes is completely unacceptable while they are in a state of military conflict with another country. This should be applicable to everyone at the international level. I speak only for myself, but I am convinced that not only I have such an opinion on this issue,» Dagbladet quotes Klebo. Earlier, the IOC recommended that international sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
