MOSCOW, Jun 8 North American National Football League (NFL) club Houston Texans helped his former quarterback Deshawn Watson set up meetings with masseuses whom he sexually abused, according to the New York Times. Earlier, more than twenty masseuses accused Watson of sexual harassment. However, according to the publication, there are almost two and a half times more victims of violence. In 17 months — from fall 2019 to spring 2021 — he met with at least 66 women who said that an American football player harassed them during a massage session. According to them, the player turned regular massage sessions into sexual ones, and also forced them to oral sex and sexual intercourse. It is alleged that the Houston Texans not only did not stop such incidents, but also helped arrange such meetings, and then entered into non-disclosure agreements women who threatened to sue the team or exposed the quarterback's behavior on social media. The team said they first became aware of the allegations against Watson in March 2021, cooperated with the investigation and «will continue to do so.» Watson's lawyer Rusty Hardin categorically denies all allegations of harassment. «We can say that when the real facts become known, this issue will appear in a different light,» the lawyer said.
