MOSCOW, June 22 Defender of the National Hockey League (NHL) club Colorado Avalanche Cale Makar won the Norris Trophy. The award is presented to the NHL's best regular season defenseman. Makar chalked up 86 points (28 goals + 58 assists) with a utility indicator of +48 in 77 games of the 2021/22 draw championship. The Nashville Predators' Roman Yosi and Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman, who was nominated for the award for the sixth time in a row, were also up for the award. Last year's Defensive Player of the Year was Adam Fox of the New York Rangers.
