The conflict began with the fact that one of the guards accused a colleague of taking a three-hour break. Three participants in the fight were detained by the police, after which they were released on bail until the end of July. There were no reports of casualties. Representatives of the tournament declined to comment. Wimbledon, held on grass courts in the suburbs of London, will end on 10 July. In April, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) refused to allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to the tournament because of the situation in Ukraine. In response, in May the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) decided not to award Wimbledon ranking points.
