YouTube removed blogger Dmitry “Goblin” Puchkov's channel

YouTube has removed the channel of blogger Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin). According to the screenshot posted by Puchkov, the hosting explained the decision as a violation of community rules.

“An enemy resource, what to expect from it,” the blogger told the Zvezda TV channel of the Ministry of Defense. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev wrote under Puchkov's post on VKontakte about the blocking “Hold on, namesake! We will avenge you.”

Puchkov, who became famous after parody translations of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the films Big Snatch and Pulp Fiction, had more than three million subscribers on YouTube.

The Ukrainian-born blogger supported the war and called the invasion of Ukraine a “forced measure.” In addition to his YouTube blog, he also hosted a program on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio and a show for the state agency Sputnik.
