MOSCOW, Aug 18 International Football Federation (FIFA) implemented 2.45 million tickets for the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches in Qatar, according to the official website of the organization. Most of the tickets were purchased by fans from Qatar, the United States, England, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, UAE, France, Argentina, Brazil and Germany. During the sales phase from July 5 to August 16, 520,532 tickets were sold. Group stage matches such as Cameroon — Brazil, Brazil — Serbia, Portugal — Uruguay, Costa Rica — Germany, Australia — Denmark have generated high demand. The launch date for the next sales phase will be announced at the end of September. The World Cup in Qatar will be held from November 20 to December 18.
