France says Biden dealt deadly blow to Europe

MOSCOW, 31 Oct. U.S. President Joe Biden dealt a mortal blow to the European economy by provoking conflict in Ukraine, French politician Florian Filippo said.

"Energy prices will lead to a drop in car production in European countries by 40 percent in 2022 and 2023! The United States, together with its accomplice (the head of the European Commission) Ursula von der Leyen, successfully struck: they are destroying us economically and killing us with the Ukrainian adventure", he wrote on Twitter.

After Russia launched a special operation to liberate Donbass France and other Western countries have imposed sanctions against Moscow. This plunged Europe into an economic and energy crisis, led to rising fuel and food prices, as well as the closure of many enterprises.

The situation was aggravated by the shutdown of the Nord Stream, the Russian gas pipeline that supplied the continent. At first, the decline in supplies of key raw materials was due to Western sanctions that prevented maintenance of Siemens turbines needed to pump gas through pipelines. In addition, terrorist attacks took place at Nord Stream on September 26, damaging two export routes at once. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out targeted sabotage. The Nord Stream operator Nord Stream AG said that the state of emergency is unprecedented and it is impossible to estimate the timing of the repair.

The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, announced the involvement of representatives of the British Navy in planning, ensuring and implementing the undermining of gas pipelines in the Baltic sea. The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia initiated a case on an act of international terrorism.
