MOSCOW, Nov. 7 State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that Russia does not interfere in US elections and will not allow interference in its internal affairs.
According to him, Democrats in the US have “taken up the old ways”: earlier, the New York Times wrote that American digital security experts and researchers announced allegedly ongoing attempts by Russia to interfere in the US midterm elections.
“An integral part of our country's policy: interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states is unacceptable. We do not interfere and will not allow us. New accusations are an attempt by US Democrats to justify their defeat in the elections to Congress tomorrow. (U.S. President Joe) Biden and his fellow party members are likely to lose their majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. The people of the United States do not vote for Democrats only because of the problems created by them” , – on the Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.
He also noted that the current US leadership is “clinging to power” with all its last strength.
