SIMFEROPOL, Nov. 7 State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet called the position of the mayor of the second largest Latvian city according to the Russian status of Crimea, natural and sensible.
Earlier, the mayor of the second largest Latvian city of Daugavpils, Andrejs Elksnins, recognized Crimea as Russian on the Delfi radio and refused, following the host, to call Russia an aggressor.
«This a logical and sensible position. You cannot hide an awl in a bag, and the truth always comes to the surface, no matter how our opponents try to disguise it. I am sure that in Western countries there will be more and more adherents of common sense and a reasonable policy towards Russia, » — Sheremet said.
According to him, it is time for Western countries to stop the obviously flawed Russophobic policy.
