The cost of the launchers and related equipment is estimated at $495 million.
«The State Department issued a ruling approving the potential … sale of M142 launchers to the Lithuanian government HIMARS and related equipment for an estimated amount of $495 million,» the report said.
The Pentagon agency sent a notice to Congress. The military said that the sale would not change the balance of power in the region, but would contribute to the modernization of the Lithuanian armed forces and increase their ability to interact with the US army.
